Intro to Electronic Music Production

About program
Students will learn the various practical and compositional uses of computer music software such as Audacity, Spear, and Garageband to compose an original electronic music piece, ringtone, instrumental accompaniment, or song. Students will learn how to record their own practice sessions and performances for critique/evaluation, as well as how to use these recordings and other sound samples to create their own original music. The students will also take part in online interactive electronic music games created by renowned composer Morton Subotnick. These music games are designed to nurture the creative compositional process within each student.
