| The jazz ensemble is a select group of musicians that will rehearse weekly. Acceptance into the jazz ensemble is contingent on a successful audition. The students participating in jazz ensemble will improve their ability to perform within the numerous styles of small group jazz; styles include swing, bebop, hard bop, Latin, and modal jazz. The students will work continuously to improve their reading skills, improvising ability, listening skills, and knowledge of jazz theory/harmony.
