Ana started dancing at the age of 5 in her home city of Moscow. She began training in classical ballet, later moving on to competitive ballroom, followed by modern dance and acrobatic rock and roll.

After moving to United States in year 2000, Ana discovered and fell in love with Salsa and Latin Dance. She trained and performed with several Latin dance companies in the Boston Area. Ana always marveled at how good of an exercise dancing was and wondered why nobody seemed to have picked up on the same idea.

That was until she discovered ZUMBA®! It was like a match made in heaven and Ana quickly got certified to be a ZUMBA® instructor. Ana's classes are fun and energizing. Fueled by her love for Latin music Ana will have you jumping, smiling and grooving along with her. So what are you waiting for? Join the party!

About the program

Ballroom dance refers to a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. Because of its performance and entertainment aspects, ballroom dance is also widely enjoyed on stage, film, and television, some shows that are popular today known as Dancing with the Stars.
Ballroom dance may refer, at its widest, to almost any type of social dancing as recreation. However, with the emergence of dance sport in modern times, the term has become narrower in scope. It usually refers to the International Standard and International Latin style dances. These styles were developed in England and are now regulated by the World Dance Council. In the United States, two additional variations are popular: American Smooth and American Rhythm.

Ballroom dance is:
Fun
Enhances mind skills
Teaches partner dancing
Exciting
In competition ballroom, dancers are judged by diverse criteria such as poise, the hold or frame, posture, musicality and expression, timing, body alignment and shape, floor craft, foot and leg action, and presentation.

Ballroom dance program aims to introduce
children to the joy of dance while providing a structured
learning environment. A series of 6-week sessions are
organized around specific learning objectives that will help
your child develop motor, cognitive and social skills.
Dance is one of the most natural and joyous ways for
children to explore and develop creative expressiveness.
The introduction of age appropriate dance exercises and
games will serve as a touchstone for learning concepts such
as body awareness, musical understanding, relationships to
others, and self-expression.
