Dr. Svetlana Leeds has been with NESA since before the doors were opened. This is her first year as the
director of the girl's recreational gymnastics program and the girl's competitive team program. Svetlana
has a long history in the sport of gymnastics. Her mother Janie, a team coach, raised her in the gym.
She qualified to the Junior Olympics twice and was offered a scholarship to compete gymnastics at Rutgers
University, where she studied psychology. After completing her undergraduate education Svetlana went onto
earn a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in working with children, adolescents
and athletes. Svetlana uses her education to create a positive development environment in the gym for the
competitive and non-competitive athletes who participate in her programs. She also conducts trainings for
the staff to create an over-all psychologically, emotionally and physically stimulating environment at NESA.
About the Program
New England sports academy is known for its top notch girls gymnastics programs. The recreational gymnastics
program offers classes for school aged girls, adolescents and adults. Our unique training and orientation
helps us provide an environment in the gym that fosters positive development across all domains. Our coaches
are trained to focus on the child's comprehensive developmental needs, along with their physical development.

Westwood. The exceptional coaching staff at NESA brings over 60 years of experience to the gym everyday. We
