Carlos Semedo was born in Portugal and grew up there playing soccer as a child. His professional soccer career
began at the age of 18 for the Clube de Futebol Estrela da Amadora in the Portuguese SuperLiga division 1.
Carlos was a member of the Portuguese National team for U-18, U-20 and U-21. One of his greatest accomplishments
is being a part of the Portuguese National team U-18, which won the European Soccer Championships. Carlos continued
his professional soccer career in Europe until 2002 when he came to the United States to play for the New England
Revolution. In addition to N.E. Revolution, Carlos also played for Rochester Raging Rhinos and the Syracuse Salty Dogs.
Carlos has been coaching children’s soccer since 2003. Prior to joining NESA, Carlos coached for the Red Devils and
Emigrantes Das Ilhas, a Portuguese league. "I am so happy to be a part of NESA’s coaching staff. As a coach, it is my
responsibility to teach young children the importance of playing in a team environment, and the importance of developing
leadership skills that will help these kids their entire lives."

| About the Program |
|
Preschoolers (ages 3-6 years old) will be introduced to the beginning skills necessary to learn soccer, baseball, and basketball. Children will also play in the foam pits and trampolines to encourage gross motor skill development. Listening skills and team work will be emphasized. Classes will be taught by NESA coach, Carlos Semedo and will be held at New England Sports Academy, one of the area's largest, most comprehensive youth sport facilities in the area. |
