In 2002 he became a regular instructor of the adult Shaolin program. Since then he has taught several Shaolin Longfist and White Crane seminars in the U.S. and abroad. He has been featured in many Yang's Martial Arts Association (YMAA) instructional DVD's. In 2009 he developed and starred in Kung Fu for Kids, the best selling DVD endorsed by the Coalition for Quality Children's Media.
Class Description
Kung-Fu is the popular term for any Chinese martial arts system developed in the famous Shaolin temple. The words Kung-Fu literally translate to "time" and "energy. In the broadest sense kung-fu is anything that requires a lot of time and effort.

In this class students will study the two styles of Shaolin Kung-Fu trained at Yang's Martial Arts Association (YMAA). Long Fist: a form comprised of kicks, jumps, and long-range movements, and White Crane: a form specializing short-range movements that use quick hand techniques and low-kicks.

The complex circular movements of the two Kung-fu styles build a strong foundation of physical and mental strength. These lessons help to challenge and develop self discipline and personal focus that can translate to many other daily activities.

Dress: Loose comfortable clothing, light sneakers or bare feet.

My son Cole (15) has been enrolled in the homeschool program on Tuesdays for 2 or 3 years now. He loves it! He takes gymnastics and parkour regularly and has taken science, math, and chess in the past. He also appreciates open gym! I also appreciate open gym because I usually get some exercise in while Cole is in class or playing. I also appreciate the parents and staff, who are friendly and interesting to talk to when I feel like socializing. I highly recommend NESA to everyone!
