NESA Parkour in the News:

Parkour in MA integrates several disciplines; it could be termed as a sport, a hobby, and an art. Typically, Parkour is a learning session to navigate obstacles, and leveraging of one's body through public places. Several experts of Parkour, not only in MA but across the globe, believe that the techniques they learn through this sport are also useful in their daily lives, making them more skillful and confident dealing with obstacles spanning from disagreements in the work place to more personal emotional traumas.

If you are an inhabitant of MA and looking for an academy for Parkour in MA you have landed at the right place. New England Sport Academy (NESA) is one of the leading academies of Parkour in MA to offer you the training and learning sessions matching international standards.

A college student in Boston, Dylan has been practicing Parkour for about 4 years now, the most recent year he has been affiliated with The World Free-running and Parkour Federation. As a member of Hub Free-running, Boston's
premiere free-running/parkour team he placed 7th in the international Red Bull
Art of Motion 2010 Boston competition. He has been holding weekly jams in
the Boston area teaching Parkour, and has lead many traceurs (people that
do Parkour!) to discover what they can truly do.
Class Descriptions
Parkour is the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path by adapting one's movements to the environment.
  • Parkour requires... consistent, disciplined training with an emphasis
on functional strength, physical conditioning, balance, creativity,
fluidity, control, coordination, precision, spatial awareness, and looking
beyond the traditional use of objects.
  • Parkour movements typically include... running, jumping, vaulting,
climbing, balancing, and quadrupedal movement. Movements from other physical  disciplines are often incorporated, but acrobatics or tricking alone do not constitute parkour.
  • Parkour training focuses on... safety, longevity, personal responsibility, and self-improvement. It discourages reckless behavior, showing off, and dangerous stunts.
  • Parkour practitioners value... community, humility, positive collaboration, sharing of knowledge, and the importance of play in human life, while demonstrating respect for all people, places, and spaces.
