Former Personal Trainer Melinda Rossi has over 30 years experience working with children. Her preschool experience is extensive as she has facilitated programs for many schools, gyms, recreation departments and businesses. As a gymnastic coach, she determines childrens' strengths, encourages new skills' development, and helps children test their abilities in new territory. She employs non-intimidating ways to create fun atmosphere in class. Melinda's gymnastic career began in Redding, Conn. She competed in a West Hartford state meet and placed 2nd in vault. Her background with gymnastic coaching began at 19 years old. She has developed programs for preschools in the Massachusetts area, creating a fun and challenging environment that promoted physical activity lasting a life time. Melinda has attended The American College of Sports Medicine and has experience in The Montessori Way having worked at The Westwood Montessori School recently. She enjoys helping a child discover their independence in a constructive environment. She looks forward to helping your child develop and grow through NESA's sports programs.
Toddler, Preschool & Kindergarten Gymnastics
New England Sports Academy strives to create a training environment that will develop and enhance the
self-esteem and physical capability of all its participants (from toddler to adult) by providing coaches
who are professional and passionate. NESA offers classes for all ages and abilities: our toddler & preschool
gymnastics program gives children a solid foundation of gymnastics skills. In addition to gymnastics skills,
techniques and terms, classes have weekly educational themes that incorporate the teaching of colors, letters,
numbers and shapes. With the use of music, props and special equipment children have fun while increasing
strength, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, balance, social skills, listening skills and more. Our mission
is to provide a gymnastics experience for boys and girls that will boost their self image, confidence, and
interaction with others - we not only make better gymnasts, we make better people.
