NESA's SAT course starting in January, 2012 and running through to the June SAT.
The course will run on Mondays and Thursdays starting on 1/9/12, 3:30-5:30 PM. Mondays
will be used for Math preparation and Thursdays for Reading and Writing preparation
(and Science for ACT). Its main aim is to prepare students for the May or June (possibly
March) SAT. Options are also available to cover MCAS and ACT as requested and space/time
permits.
Nicholas Sterling, PhD, - a trainee of the Princeton Review method for SAT preparation
who bases his instruction on its approach and techniques. Students will learn crucial
test-taking techniques that they need to apply in grappling with questions on the
standardized test. Many times students do not even need to know the exact answers
on questions that stump them; with the right techniques, they can put troublesome
questions behind them with amazing ease.
he SAT remains a useful test to prepare for and take, even in this day and age when
many colleges are choosing to convert the formerly mandatory SAT requirement into
an optional one. With SAT Prep , students can benefit in their school-work by learning about Math, Reading, and Writing from a different
perspective. Vocabulary learning, and Math improvement, are always useful goals.
