NESAcademy Birthday Parties at NESA Birthday Parties at NESA
Program Director: Mark Kaufman
LTC Mark Kaufman (USN, Retired) was originally trained as a Naval Cryptographer and has several years in programming dating back to 1970's when he was in a class time sharing with a computer at a local University. Currently he enjoys all kinds of high tech entertainment including gaming and programming.
About The Program

The Video Game Programming course is a two semester commitment. In the first semester students will use high level tools to allow them to develop their own video games. In the second semester, the mechanical aspects of Object Orientated Programming will be discussed.

This classes take the student from high level conception and design of video game design to the low level programming languages used to talk to the computer and make objects from our own OOP libraries.

The Course is a full year course designed to expand on the student's imagination and the programming concepts to allow the student to create products based on their enhanced understanding. Our ultimate goal is to have games good enough to post on local web sites, games good enough to make our students proud of their creations and the confidence to continue with the creative process of game programming.

My son Cole (15) has been enrolled in the homeschool program on Tuesdays for 2 or 3 years now. He loves it! He takes gymnastics and parkour regularly and has taken science, math, and chess in the past. He also appreciates open gym! I also appreciate open gym because I usually get some exercise in while Cole is in class or playing. I also appreciate the parents and staff, who are friendly and interesting to talk to when I feel like socializing. I highly recommend NESA to everyone!
