PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Every NESA Baseball/Softball student will benefit from the professional coaching and focused instruction provided by our NESA staff. All baseball students will learn the necessary skills that will enhance athletic ability, which will increase self-esteem and motivational tactics for use in their everyday lives. Each session focuses on several of the following skills: soft-toss hitting, swing techniques, pitching, learning infield and outfield positions, bunting, playing situations, balance, strengthening, and conditioning. All baseball students will gain better hand-and-eye coordination that will not only help them with baseball, but will be useful in many other sports. NESA offers recreational classes (ages three to twelve years old), pre teams, and competitive AAU teams.

RECREATIONAL CLASSES
3-4 years old classes (Boys/Girls)
Classes will consist of learning to hit a baseball using a tee, throwing a baseball to a target, and increasing motor skills through different kinds of movements across the field. At this age the most important focus is self-esteem, confidence, and learning to love the sport with fun progressions and games.

5-6 years old classes (Boys/Girls)
Classes will continue teaching hitting techniques: hitting a pitched ball using proper grip of the bat; fielding the baseball with throwing and catching skills. As the children continue to learn more specific techniques about baseball, their self-esteem and teamwork will improve through positive instruction and encouragement.

7-9 years old classes and 10-12 years old classes (Boys/Girls)
Hitting/Fielding
Pitchers/Catchers

At these ages we offer two different classes- Hitting/Fielding and Pitchers/Catchers. This allows a child to attend a class to work on a specific aspect of his/her game or attend both for improvement in all positions of the game. In Hitting and Fielding players will learn the roles and techniques of all fielding positions and improve their overall hitting by working on all parts of their swing. In Pitchers and Catchers players will improve their skills through drills, repetitions, and sport-specific conditioning. This is a class for a range of players that want to add some speed to their fastball or find that all-important strike zone. A player can work on one or both positions of the game. In our baseball recreational classes, all students are challenged at their own pace and are given consistent encouragement to try their best.
